We spent the last week visiting family and friends in Illinois. We drove from Colorado to Illinois with 3 little boys - it was a blast! ;) They actually did pretty good - drove straight thru on the way out and stopped one night on the way back. Michelle was pretty excited to see Kansas for the first time - she was pleasantly surprised to find that contrary to what she has heard - it was a very pretty drive.

In Illinois we spend the week with Rod's family. Colin and Drew LOVED playing outside at my parent's house and property. My mom & dad have a couple golf carts that I'm pretty sure that Colin rode at least 100 times during the few days we were there. The boys also loved all the attention from grandma & grandpa, their aunts, uncles, cousin and their great aunts!

We took Colin along with our friends Bill & Megan and their daughter Autumn to Chicago for 2 days. Colin got to spend the night at his aunt Susie's place and then they road the 'el' train and also got to ride in a taxi cab! Colin was very excited. We took the kids to the Field Museum and got to see 'Sue' the T-Rex along with a bunch of other cool exhibits at the museum. Michelle and I enjoyed an evening away from the kids (Thanks Mom, Dad & Susie!) and we got to hang out with great friends and go to a fancy dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse.
